HYANGBIPA

Hyangbipa is one of the Samhyun together with Gayageum and Gumungo. Also, differing from Dangbipa, it has five strings on it. Ohyun is the same word as Hyangbipa, which came from a western country to China. However, in Korea, it came from Western to Goguryeo and Goguryeo to Sila. In Sila, they started to call Hyangbipa to identify with Danbipa.
Hyangbipa, similar to Gumungo, it used Paulownia Tree in front and Chestnut Tree for the back. Also, Hyangbipa used Suldae and play by scratching the strings.
